Cambodia Fund Raising!

Hello girls,

Please note the below:

Regarding manpower,

The girls baking the cookies (you have been informed individually by your ACSM Reena and myself) are to be in brigade tee (the dark blue dri-fit tee with the 4 circles in front) and school skirt, covered shoes. I have placed Kailin in charge. Any problems please give me a call. You DO NOT need to come down on Sunday to sell the cookies as you have done your part baking them already.

The rest of the girls not baking (i.e. you did not receive any message from either myself or your ACSM Reena), you are to be down in church to sell the packets of cookies. Be in mufti (the blue polo tee) and school skirt, covered shoes.

Regarding the cookies,

Each pack of cookies cost $3. Comes in two different packs of the same net weight (so no worries on which is more worth it!) :

1. 1 big cookie in a pack. Choice of Chocolate chip or chocolate cookie.
2. many small cookies in a pack. Mix flavors.

An order form is sent to your email inbox, please check your inbox and reply to the email!
Please start to get orders from your friends and family. Pay first before they can get their cookies please! You will be able to get your ordered cookies on Sunday, 15Nov2009, so you can distribute them out to your friends and family members.
Each girl is to raise $30 individually (i.e. sell 10 packets to your friends and family members)

Let us do our part for the Cambodians! You have heard of their living conditions, saw the heartwarming video, so start doing your part by raising funds for them.

GB INTERNATIONAL PROJECT

1. Powerpoint/ Report (hard copy submission only)
** Individual work
** Due: 25june 2009

To include:
(i) Introduction
- The Brigade International Structure and the countries in the world, which have GB work.
- The 5 fellowships and their extension work.
- Who the International Vice-Presidents are for the different Fellowships.

(ii) Know 2 countries specifically
- Choose two countries from the fellowship and write about their GB Work explaining in detail their new initiatives and what is happening currently.

- In each of the countries you have chosen, indicate

** What is the syllabus being taught in that country for which level
** How is the brigade progressing in that country? What is its vision?
** What are some of the community projects embarked by the brigade in that country to bless the society?

2. Write about a GB International event
** Individual Work, but interview can be done together
This means that i will be receiving 4 different reports
** Due: 25june2009

The events are: Fonomarae, ICGB Conference, Africa, Aflame, Operations Orient etc.

If you did not attend these conferences, interview someone (officer/girl) about the conference and do a report on it.

3. Raise S$20.00 per girl for Asia work
** Group effort
** Due: 25June 2009

(i) Proposal
** Due: 5June 2009
To include:
- The country the funds are for and for what purposes
- Where will you all be selling your products
- What are you all selling
- When will you all be selling

(ii) Report
Do a short summary on the needs of the country the money was raised.

Please be punctual in submitting the proposal/reports/powerpoints.
Send a soft copy to me via email, then print a hard copy out in which i will collect on 25june.

I will be going down to BBSS to collect all of your project works on 25june 2009 at 2.30pm.

As much as I know many of us are unwilling to part with GB and our posts perhaps, we have to. Let's enjoy whatever moments we have left though, because this is probably going to be our last enrolment service ever.

Firstly! Thank you for the very nice card! (There is no Jill la… XD)

I don’t know if you girls are still feeling low and down because of the results… but… let me repeat myself for those who did not hear me the last time… I was IMPRESSED by you girls!... your marching… your drills… I believe that all of you did your best...

Since the event has already passed… all that is left should not be sadness, regrets or even self denial… but should be the beautiful memories that you girls get from the 5 months of practices together… the wonderful experience I believe. (so much so that this man here wants to join GB for this simple fact… LOL) I believe that you girls have even deepen your friendship with one another… especially during times of troubles/emergency… where you see how everyone helped and support each other…

I really want to thank you girls for giving me this awesome chance to teach and help you girls in this fancy drill and it really leaves me with lots of memories (including bubble tea?)…. And special experiences with every single one of you (stated below):

You girls have done a great job! Over the past few months i have seen a BIG leap in your drills. The constant reminder of locking your elbows, turning with a jerk, having solid bang, swing up together,don't over swing and most importantly not to drag your boots have been very fruitful. Not forgetting the amount of tears and perspiration your shed during camp and practices is super worth it(:

People who made it possible (:

We've got good timers (Zi Tong, Kai Lin and Christina who take turns to give timing)
musically talented people (Li Ting who came up with the cheer)
people who cries but yet with determination improved alot(Jerrine)

im so proud of you girls really. its not the medal that really matters. yes, we aimed gold or at least a silver right. ya, we got bronze at the end. but don be sad my dear girls. u girls are not just bronze standard at all. u are my GOLD team ya. why? like wat i always said, jerk ur body, dont do horsekick, look smart, body posture, clench ur fist and etc. u girls did wat i wan. esp the semula part. ur handswings impressed both zhiwei and me. BEST OF ALL, U GIRLS NEVER DO HORSEKICK LIKE WAT OTHER COMPANY DID(for the sake of solid bang). u girls did the correct drill loh.
drill itself mean nothing (coz we are not guys, not serving NS anyway).
but its the process of aiming on our goal, be commit to the practices. being scolded by us, lectured by us whether u wan to commit or not lah, stupid excuses lah....... and of coz the happy moments like ur Jack sir.... lol.... and ur commander woo....

yes, if u got go and see fiona blog. i walked away when 10th coy is being called out. some of u ask me "are you disappoint with us with the result?" really, u girls asked me a silly question loh. how can i not be sad? u think i so hard-hearted huh. im disappointed with myself for not pushing u girls for more impromtu drill and not telling u girls where to fall in exactly, and not training fiona in commanding. you girls don deserve just a bronze but at least a silver. i can see that u girls really put in ur heart and soul for this drill competition. thank you.:D
i enjoyed myself playing with u girls... make me feel so young. lol.

TO ALL PIONEER DRILL TEAM MEMBERS:
Rmbr Reena said God has a purpose for everything?
I finally realised why we got bronze.
After the news, we cried, we were disappointed but we had members to encourage, to help us pull ourselves together.
The bronze made me see the deepened friendship among everyone.
It made me recall all the fun times we had.
All the hormat kehadapan to rubbish trucks, Fiona's Zao Xia, Zhiwei's STRIP IT! etc...
So yea, to me, I think God told me that the process of Drill Comp meant much more than the results(:

And for that, I feel like crying again.
Not because of disappointment, but because there wont be any drill practices for us to have fun anymore.

Hey Pioneer team girls!

I know all of you girls are sad, disappointed with the result, but hey, look on the brighter side, we had much fun during all the trainings along with our Commander, Ms Gladys, staff Peiru, Ms Likhoon and even Jack(Zhi Wei!) (:

We did our best, and even so if its not the award we wanted, all glory still goes to God!
At least we know where we went wrong and most importantly, our standard is there one! Its just that cause of on-the-spot performance and all of us are nervous, thats why we cock up alil. It okay one yeah! New experience for us, and yes, we are the best! Cause we persevere throughout even though the mistakes without giving up!

Here are some encouragement sent which I've received.
So here, to all the team members!

Ms Tay: I know the results.. It's ok, to me, you girls are my gold team, and Im always proud of all of you cause you have done your best.

She knows how we are feeling and said maybe its just on the spot performance. Our drills are still good! Remember what Zhi Wei said? He said he was impressed by our drills on the competition itself, even better than our trainings'. See, our standard(:

Reena: Hey! Pioneer team! You all rock! Don't be sad! We had done our very best already! God has a purpose for everything! Dun cry! :) everyone Jiayou!

DRILL STAGE3 PRACTICAL AND THEORY TEST

practical for the three girls: 4.30pm
theory for all sec4s: 5.00pm
venue: 5th level parade ground

please note the different components in the stage3 practical test (see post below for information). those taking the practical test are to be in FULL UNIFORM.

we do not have any other time for any one of you to retake any of the drill tests already, so if you can't make it on the actual day for practical, you will not be able to take your stage3 drill test anytime soon.
if you can't make it for theory, please contact me by today, 1feb09, 9pm.

there will not be any lessons or briefings on the theory test (you all should know why).
any questions or problems on timings and attendance, please contact staff jaslyn.

Please note that all sec4s will be taking their stage3 practical drill test on coming friday, 9th Jan 2009, from 4pm to 4.30pm.

The tested components are:

Jadigan tua and tiga (form two ranks from three and vice versa)
Turning on the march (ke-kiri and ke-kenan)
Slow march
Berhenti on slow march
Quick march to slow march and vice versa

do also note that all commands given for turning on the march will be in long commands, so do train up on that.

remember for your slow march toes point down and don't land on your heels! and make sure everyone of you know how to do jadigan because we'll swop ranks to assess! and the few of you, remember to turn fully (90degrees turn, not 70degrees!) and have the 90degrees bang. (:

it's on monday when there's another drill practice.. HAHAHA! i was SUPERB impress by the girls when i played the EXCELLENT game with them~ =.= the EXCELLENT GAME goes like this.. after i say 10 EXCELLENT on any command they execute (mus be different command), they can go home 2 hours earlier!!! WHOOAA! so exciting..!! AHHAHAA...

"give me one good ka-kanan pusing on the march, and i said excellent on that, you can go for your water break.." =.= den they really give me a perfect bang, though i didn't really look at the hand. and that time it was not INDIVIDUAL marching anymore, it's a WHOLE GROUP! i'm VERY IMPRESSED! like dumbfolded.. wan to continue also cannot... den WATER BREAK! =.= hai... mus keep to promise you see.. hai..

PIONEER TEAM ka-belakang pu sing on the march is PERFECT too! everyone banged together.. is like super nice.. after peiru say no tapping, i think they didn't tap already.. cos i heard the stomping very loud, like very angry that kind. =.= HAHAHAHA... =.=

the only problem is the HENTAK KAKI thing and the HORMAT KA-HADAPAN HORMAT (bang is OK! but not the salute.. nv salute together..) for hentak.. hmm.. a bit luan.. i also luan.. cos drill manual and wad the girls do is different thing.. AHHAA! but i will comfirm with LiKhoon!

HAHAAHA!

so the conclusion is that INCENTIVES work VERY WELL on the girls.. HAHAHHA... =.= lol..

this coming competition will be a brand new competition! no more format drills, but only FANCY DRILLS and IMPROMTU DRILLS! that means, they will look at your sharpness, yadda yadda, through the fancy drill and the impromtu drills already.

our captain, Miss Diana, says that if we were to get Gold for Drill Com, we'll get a treat to Sakae Sushi Buffet!

Below are the details for the 4 beloved girls going to first-aid course.
i have told kirthana the impt stuff, go to her ar. :D

1) Registration : 7.30am - 8.00am, 31 October 2008 (Fri)
2) Things to bring : a piece of hard cardboard or a full day of newspaper and masking tape.
3) Attire : GB National T-shirt, school skirt with shorts.
4) Registration : At the front of the school , we will have helpers to assist your girls with the registration and payment. The girls will then be directed to the AVA Room (3rd floor).

6) Lunch will be provided.
7) End at about 5pm.

we end school at 4pm every day (except friday)
and yes, our prelims happen to stretch throughout a whole month.

so everything seems like a rush. teachers rushing to throw us revision tests after tests, homework and more homework even though we already end school at 4pm.

I'M BACK, PEOPLE! :D
after almost 4days of camping at GBHQ for PBB Selection Camp, I'M BACK! and yes, i really enjoyed myself alot! thank you for all your prayers and all, i survived pretty well, and i was actually assigned to the same group as Darlene! she's the ACSM of 19th coy (my batch) so its really very lucky that at least i have someone to accompany me or i'll die of boredom. but don't worry, my group bonded together REALLY fast that in no time, we were all chatting happily and yes, me and my cold jokes, who would forget!
just thought of blogging here before i go off to bed. its already 2AM!

pbb was not only fun, but very enriching! i guess its not anymore important whether i'm going down alone from 10th, or that its my first HQ camp, etc, but the friendships forged and the memories my team mates left me with that i wouldn't think twice to share with all those willing to hear (yes of course, you can read them from HERE). from the standard of HQ, their huge servings during meals, the several planning, the PT that almost killed me, the stuffs you all have to take note when you're in full u and out, reporting and everything, and aslo how other company operates. not all company practices the same thing, and i believe such HQ camps are there to not only expose you to what other companies do, but also to let you make friends with girls from other companies!
you'll be surprised to see how strangers can become so close just after a few hours, and how after that few days of camp, you and your newly-made friends would be together as though you all had met for many years.

and i understand too that the sec3s are now rushing through to complete your badge works. t may seem really tiring, with all the projects to do on top of your homeworks and revision, so you all really have to prioritise your time well. do it good once and for all. (:

in all that you do, don't be affected by what others say, don't be discouraged when you face setbacks and failures, be it during the process or the end results. it is the failures that let you learn, that polishes and refines you. so learn from them and don't commit them again. don't always think of success, but the process, for that is when you truly find joy. And i have full faith in each and every one of you girls here in 10th that you all can do an excellent job in all that you're assigned to. just as long as you did your best, who cares!

and of course, know that you all are rushing through the syllabus so you all can go for PBB next year too, and i really hope all of you can go for it, gain the once in a lifetime experience that not all will have the privilege to enjoy. PBB is the highest award a girl can attain in Singapore, so fix your eyes on that, to glorify God in all that you do, and enjoy the process, girls!

hey, just some information and details about how you girls should go about doing your job as COS for future parades(ESPECIALLY FOR SEC TWOS, please take note)

1. always always take the attendance of the various squads/platoons two days beforehand(preferred), considering the fact that the CRO will be put up on the GB noticeboard latest by wednesday. this is to ensure that you know the exact number of people attending the parade and the reasons why they are not present(if any)

2. commands given should be given LOUDLY. if not, the entire company won't be able to hear it.

3. get the COS file from our admin personel, XinPing, best before friday so that you will have time to fill in the details of the parade, etc etc.

4. make sure you are familiar with the details of the parade so that you know whats going to happen next. for example, after opening parade what will happen.. after badgework what will be going on..

5. things you will have to report during opening parade: total strength, total present, total absent, total excused. and for those absent or excused, WHY. remember to ASK whether there will be any announcements and who will be taking prayer etc etc. and then ask for permission to proceed.

6. as for the commands that will be given, they will be on the next post i type out :D

yeah i am here to really say how happy and how much i thank God for!

as wat liying posted, we got a GOLD for the challenge and 2nd in position.
for those who dunnoe wat this is.. this is a Community Waypoint Challenge, the event of the year. something like EstherFez and drill competition. every year GB will have a national event.
of course, it contribute to alot of COMPANY POINTS :)

yah really want to thank God.
we are suppose to find a primary school to team up with.. and because we are quite late to find primary school to team up with so end up hq will find one primary school for us.
at first i was quite sad that i can only send one team.. each compan actually can send 2 teams but provided we find the pri sch company ourself..
yah.
and throughout this process, i keep praying, telling God this challenge mean alot to me and us:)
and we need and want to get gold haha.
i prayed that hq can find pri school for us.. and yea they did!
punguol primary school, 75th company!
thank God!
because their school is hougang area, the area where the challenge is held. (anyway the challenge is like amazing area) so they somehow helped abit in identifying the areas..

yeah so start praying and spy on people who u can target on.. ask them to save up :) hahahahaha

:) for me, whenever i hear of certain company i will know what they are good at or something special about them.. example last time 40th company got the youngest captain.. or drill competition always that few company get gold. or a particular company very well-known for drill. like i go national camp, they identify company one eh..
i want 10th company to be one of it:) like i used to hear 10th is the company that will greet officers in the canteen like during national events. will greet.
one good thing, the recent CORPORAL camp the sec 2s attend, reena was praised in the committee because she was assigned to be the encourager of the group one morning, and when an officer ask her how she encourage, she say she encourage those who can't run during 5BX to run. haha but they was saying my company all late for corporal camp.. (then i explain cause they got school ndp) hahaha.
or to be known for love :)
when one girl fell down, we will be the first to dash out to held that person up.

just now i mention about company award, haha officers also doing our part to have good impression in hq eyes by submitting admin stuff on time, go to eveyr zonal meeting to gain company points.. hahaha
but more than company award,
i want every girl to learn something out of the things we do :))

before GB fortnight,
do keep our CSM-ed (past tense) haha in prayer as she to PBB CAMP.
pray she will be able to pass, or even be the BEST PBB GIRL hahaha if they have this award..
and really glorify God and do 10th coy proud:)
and pray she will be able to cope with studies and won't be lonely (hahahaha) cause she is going alone from 10th coy.
do give her some dark chocolates before she go camp even though she cannot eat during camp, she can swallow all before the start of the camp.

yeah :) take good care of yourself during the holidays, i will see you when school starts as we get ready for GB forthnight, preparation for DRILL COM, more badgework and BADGES, and more STUFF :)

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=DDDD

For the recent Challenge that we took part in organised by the GB HQ, the 6 of us namely: ChangYen, Siwei, Veronica, Reena, Christina and Me(Liying!) We, managed to clinched a 2nd for the whole thing!( A GOLDDDD! A GOLD A GOLD A GOLD! GOLDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!) You know 2nd for the among two zones of team which consist of almost 60teams is really a superb thing already!? hehehe

WELL DONE GIRLS! SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER WELL DONE!=DD Though we walked so far and much throughout the whole Challenge, sweating like some crazy people, getting wet&hungry and was so tired after the whole thing, BUT NOW. Everything's worthwhile yeah? We did really great and even the officers were impressed!=DDD SO YUP, GOOD JOB GOOD JOB!

AND YEAYEAYEA! not forgetting..
WE HAVE TO THANK GOD FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!

Thank God that MsTay was able to make it to join us in the Challenge we took part in organized by the HQ.and she wasnt able to make it at first.(MsTay lead us throughout the whole Challenge with the GPS device! though there were two other teachers from the primary school side that joined us,i still cant imagine how it would be like if she wasnt there:/)
Thank God that we are grouped with four primary school kids(from Punggol primary) that were all very enthu and easy to get along/communicate with(WE BONDED WELL TOGETHER=D)
Thank God for the rain, though we were wet and feeling both hot(for wearing the banana-like ponchos) and cold(the windddd) BUT yet still, it hypes us up making us go high playing in the rain and then chionging all the way for the end point :D
Thank God that everything goes on smoothly during the journey throughout without any troubles/accident happening and able to survive throughout chionging all the way!
THANK GOD ALSO! that we are able to lompang(get free ride) 19thcoy's bus back home making our journey back home a shorter and much comfortable one(: (after all the walking and such, comfortable cushion-ed seats are like so much better compared to Mrt's hard plastic seats right! worst still if there isnt any seats...)

WHEN TO SALUTE?

When to salute?
- Whenever you're in uniform, regardless of whether your officers are in uniform

If your officers are in uniform, they will return the salute
However, if your officers are not in uniform, they will just nod their head to aknowledge the salute

By the way, one more important point.

In GB, we emphasize respect for your officers/teacher helpers

If you are in school or at any gb events and you see your officers walking past, you should salute and greet your officers/teacher helpers (added: that is when you or your officers/teacher helpers are in brigade based)

If you are in a group, you will all fall in and the one with the highest rank would salute and greet your officer on behalf of the group

* After this post, I hope you girls would practice this and greet your officers. It's really a basic sign of respect :)

nest AAC rehearsal is TOMORROW. be at GB classroom at 3pm SHARP. attendance to be reported by 250pm. attire is full u. yes, still ceremonial, so make sure your gloves are with you. GOH, remember to rush to the hall and get ready. cut timing, change it to nod please. and dont nod until very obvious hor.

really want to thank all the girls for the fond memories you all had left in me in that short one year. the drills, the camps, the fun we had and all. i will never forget every single moment we spent together.

thank you enrolment GOH BBSS contingent for all the commitment and effort put in. the superb drill standard (which still can be improved!). the loud "YES CSMs". the discipline.

you girls all are the most impressive batch, the high standard of discipline, respect, sense of urgency, and the list goes on. and i hope that you all can keep up good work, and make your good work become better work, then BEST work. dont let that standard drop, or my heart will break~

for the new NCOs, i pray that you are able to bring the company to greater heights, to the next level of success. support one another in actions and deeds, you all are working as a team!
know that your seniors here are always willing to share our experiences with you, and we will guide you along.

just like the Earth has 3 layers, crust (outer most layer), mantle, core (inner most layer). the company, too, has got, but, 2 layers. the NCO council will be the core, the the girls will be the crust, outside the core, supporting it.
have you all ever played the game about ensuring a BIG ball will not drop on the floor? just as the same, when the ball gets hit out of the core, the people outside will hit it back.
so, without the core or the crust, neither one can exist. whats the nco council without the girls?

so girls, support your NCOs! they will be having a tough time taking over the company; planning for weekly parades, coordinating with so many so many people to bring out the best for you girls, maintaining the high level of discipline you all had given me, and continue building 10th coy to a company other companies look up to. so do give them the support and cooperation they need.

words cannot express the love i have for you girls. and may you all be the one your classmates and friends look up to. NCOs, be that example your juniors would want to follow.

Just wanna say that you all have been such a cool, great, awesome bunch of girls ;D I thank God for putting each and everyone of you in my life and though some of you may have made me really angry, really frustrated, really sad, really disappointed, I'm still grateful to all of you. Well, tomorrow will be enrolment already.
I know all Sec4s will miss their post, including me.

I will miss the times standing in front of Platoon Two shouting: "Platoon Commander Ang Li Lin reporting of behalf of Platoon Two...".
I will miss the times passing down messages.
As a Platoon Commander of Platoon Two, i am really happy to see that Platoon Two has worked together in many others way.
They have done me proud by winning the Best Platoon for Inter-Platoon Drill Competition and also organising Platoon outing.
As i stepped down, i will always remember the memories i had with Platoon Two.

And, Platoon Two, dont ever forget you got SERGEANT ANG LI LIN as your PLATOON COMMANDER!
And, Platoon Two, you girls need to prepare tissues for me tomorrow.

ok.. haha.. a little reluctant to give up though.. it's as if.. i jus got my badge and post yesterday.. haha... feel like crying.. T.T

hmm.. jus a little run through through the years i've been a pc.. =X

during the interview for the NCOs posts, i said i wan to be programme or sth (jus a random post.. cos i dunno wat to say already).. and at that point, PC didn't come to my mind yet.. because, (seeing the previous badge of pcs. =x), i think that pc is not really that significant.. at that point, i tot that pc is somebody who passes message via sms and stand infront of a bunch of ppl to say the strength and stuffs.. the previous badge dun teach drill.. so i felt bored when they announce this post at first.. haha.. if u ever see my blog post after getting this post, i complained about not able to teach drill (i din know can teach at first..).

yeah.. after which, i got quite excited when they asked me to teach drill.. i was like totally STUN diao???? i mean i dun even know the commands and stuff.. and they jus let us photocopy some drill book and ask us to read thru.. yep... i remembered the first drill session.. i have to handle PLATOON ONEEE (WOOOOOO~~~) on my own.. yeah.. small contingent..~ but i can see that innitially, the people in the platoon doesn't have confidence in me.. yep. i dun have confidence in myself too.. or rather, i dun look CONFIDENT.. how can i be that anyway? i dare not face the contingent face to face.. i dare not stand infront and look eye-to-eye.. i dunno which leg to give command.. i'm LOST.. whenever i gave a command at the wrong leg, the contingent dun hentak (which they suppose to) but they turn around and say that i gave on wrong leg smiling? and yeah.. they dun seemed to be serious.. hmm.. sorry if i seemed offending.. but i wanted to show how unprepared i am at this point of time.. yeah.. i cant give the contingent the confidence..

yep.. as time goes passed, i slowly learned to be a good PC.. heh... =x i love this post also~ seemed like alot of opportunities to do drill and command.. O.O and a chance to be a DI (though we are not officially that yet and it's a ONE YEAR LISENCE THING) HAHAHA~ and a good chance to display leadership skills and to build up your confidence! good thing also lar~ HAHAHA... yep... hmm.. have i became some ppl's role model? O.O LOL...

heh.. so happy that many sec3s say they wan to be PCs.. xDD are you one of them??? O.O

hmm.. yeah.. so if any of u sec3s ever get a drill post like PCs, ACSM or CSM, make sure u get yourself prepared.. if you are teaching drills, make sure u ask your seniors anything u are not sure of and be confident** (very impt!!!) ! cos if not confident, you will not earn respect from ppl and will not get the confidence you wan from ppl in you.. yep... but dun over-confident though.. cos this leads to pride.. commanding infront of the contingent is harder than u expect.. the STRESS ya know~ haha..

SOME THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF (TO ALL SEC3s 2008):
+ If you are commanding, have the correct standing position, back straight, dun stand on one leg. (have the confident look.. even if you are not.. HAHAHAHA..)
+ When talking to the contingent, stand infront of them.. have EYE CONTACT.. let them know u are serious and not joking..
+ Dun laugh after scolding them.. or they'll wun take it seriously~
+ Don't scold for nothing..
+ Dun use drill as punishment (taken from the DI notes. =x)
+ If you ever have to scold, first think of your intention.. is it because shuang den scold.. or is it because it's for their own good? think carefully.. yeah.. cos sometimes the more u scold, the more rebellious the girls are.. and dun think dun scold means u very good.. you are giving them more reasons to step over u..
+ BE A GOOD ROLE MODEL!!
+ HAVE CONFIDENCE..

this would probably be my last post here before your acsm and i fly off to brunei for a 12 day long date :D

so do keep us in prayers, because before OBBD (6dec), we got stage3 practical test (you all now know how brain cells- taxing it is to put in your effort and wait anxiously for the results) and after OBBD, i'll be going down to RJC for YI camp (ya, after i go home and nap first~) until 20dec.

church will be having Christmas Bash at Jurong Stadium. this means bigger space, bigger crowd, MORE FUN! more details will be released soon, so do check back as well. or you can check it out with any of the church goers.

ISPLs not fun one. it spoils and ruins your holiday mood. especially when you're planning for long overseas trip or going for mission trip or OBS, then you need to chiong all your work so you can at least slack a little before you depart this little city called SINGAPORE

but even as you girls are still slacking and lazing around, if you have bought your books, do start revising for your subjects next year and glorify God with your results, okay?
Reena told me that she started revising her sec1 work during the holidays, thats why when teacher teach, she understand. and thats why, she's top in level. so we should start also, learn from her and be top in level.

okay. its like a week more of your long await school holidays. good loh. the sec3s still have 2 more weeks of extra lessons.

okay, i got a speech to make...
hmm.. since i took over the company in April, you girls have been my main source of support all these while while i fight this battle against many problems that made me depressed. of course like all leaders and heros, there are always a point of time whereby i just broke down and felt like giving up. you girls are a bunch of hard-to-handle nursery kids!! (i was kidding -.-) yeap, i'm sure those who always read my blog knows. and its like, sometimes its hard to keep on.

same as your ACSM, i hope you girls really enjoyed the parades the NCOs have took time out to planned. there may be times whereby you are unhappy with us, or the way we works, the way i reprimand you girls yadda yadda, but like what Terry's mother in I Not Stupid always says, its for your own good. :D :D (eh! dont jeer hor!!)

oh well, but really, you girls are a bunch of sunshine that never fail to be that sunshine after my rain. (although sometimes you girls are my rain as well... O.o)

CONGRATS to all those who are promoted to your respective ranks from yesterday's PROMOTION DAY.
Yesterday marks the end of all GB parades(aww...) we will have this year and i hope you girls have really enjoyed yourself throughout the year in GB.
be it the FIRST PARADE, NATIONAL DRILL COMPETITION, DRILL CAMPS, LTC, RTC, INTER-PLATOON DRILL COMPETITION, LAST PARADE and all the other friday parades, i hope that you girls will learn something from each experience that you have in GB(:
well, though PROMOTION day is the last parade, platoons still can just simply meet out for lunch or even organize outings to improve and strengthen the bonding.
Remember, GB is not just a CCA, but a place where people come together as one...
Lastly, I LOVE 10th COY!!! *cheers*

Another thing, today(20 oct) is our dearest PLATOON COMMANDER b'day, she's none other than LILIN, the one that falls down alot of times in captain's ball... hehe.
Let's all wish her a wonderful b'day and that the Lord will always be there guiding her....

HEY GIRLS!
ahaha i'm very excited now, because its our very first 10TH COY BLOG! :D and this excitement is overwhelming the whole of me, i think i'm having gonna have writers block.
but honestly, every single time i say that i've got writer's block, contradictory enough, i end up writing far more than even i expected. :/

anyway, its been long enough i did say its a tad too late for the birth of our 10th coy blog. but nevermind okay! it shall even serve as a way of communication even when there are no parades, which sadly, is coming real close. our last parade will be on the coming friday, 19th oct, in church. and yes, evidently, you girls are to be there in your full uniform. its obvious right~
i'll be posting more on that real soon, yeah?

and do give me some comments on this blogskin. i understand that its a little plain, but i love that small picture on top. heh. i'm a little noob, that was my first time using a brush in photoshop. eh eh eh! dont laugh hor! xD
